ABOUT
SUPPORTING Women of Color
who we are
Project Beauty Expo is an online platform & offline conference created to provide women of color beauty entrepreneurs with the tools needed to create a sustainable business.
what we do
We create experiential events and distribute quality content for a highly engaged yet underrepresented community of beauty entrepreneurs and cosmetic consumers to connect, collaborate and share ideas.
PBE creates immersive experiences that allow beauty entrepreneurs and consumers alike to connect, collaborate and share ideas. Our events are carefully designed to deliver a highly curated and intimate experience, providing an exclusive opportunity for women of color to showcase and purchase natural beauty and body products.
We understand the unique challenges facing WOC founders in the beauty industry, and we’re here to help.
our founder
Brittany Brown is an experiential entrepreneur who has put inclusivity at the helm of work in the beauty industry.
After graduating from Stevenson University in 2013, Brittany enrolled in the Baltimore School of Massage to study esthetics. Shortly after, Brittany launched Monee’ Cosmetics, a natural and organic skincare line. As a new beauty entrepreneur, Brittany struggled to find a space where a multicultural-women-owned indie brand could thrive in a market overrun by big names. In search of a niche in the beauty industry, Brittany founded Project Beauty Expo (PBE) in 2016 as an effort to create a support network for women of color who are interested in natural beauty, wellness, and healthy living.
